450 brake

Had a prototype brake made for the 450. Seems to work well, but needs a little refinement. Once done I'll coat it so it isn't soooo shiney

Very nice. Is that stainless steel? I ask because I did some brake prototyping a few years back and used aluminum. It was fine for proof of concept, but it did not hold up more than 5 or 6 rounds before it started to distort at the high pressure points. That was for a .308.

Gotta hook Gunnut up with one so he can test it!
Might want to make them in Chrome-Moly so that
they can be blued.

It is MUCH better than what the factory gave us. But we are having a hard time finding instrumentation to give hard numbers.

Who is this Gunnut? He does testing on how well brakes work? Contact info?

If mine turns out well I'm sure the guy making mine would make more for others.................

OH!......A new brake?......Cool!
If you want it tested, P.M. me here for contact info.
What was it designed for? Recoil, Muzzel climb or both?
The Izzy has not been beat when it comes to muzzel climb! But, Does nothing for recoil. Works the best when using recoil reducers and Pads.
More on that combo later.
