Cabela's Upper update

I odered a rifle length upper this morning from The Gun Source.$511 shipped.they only have a few though.Now to get a stock and optic....

Oh happy days! I got my email from Cabela's, it's been shipped.

As luck would have it, I just got an email from Cabela's saying my upper was shipped yesterday after I ordered one from Element Arms. It will be here tomorrow, so I have an upper for sale. I'd like to sell it to one of our members so I'm posting it here.

16" 450 Bushmaster Upper $579 plus shipping (The same price as the one I purchased two days ago)

That was the BURVMB1645 16" listed at the gun source. The photo looks like the rifle length but the description and part number is the 16". Good price but they don't have any to sell. The BURVMB2045 doesn't even pull up when you search their site. I'd prefer the 20" myself but no one seems to stock them.

They told me on the phone i had one locked in.Now I kind of doubt it.

I too just talked to Cabela's, in fact I just got off the phone. They officially told me several things. They are re-ordering all they can get from Bushy, that Bushmaster has been and is currently gearing up their 450 production rate, that if I ordered today and assuming that Bushy doesn't increase production (which they are), it'd be something like August before shipping. So it would prolly be sooner than Aug, because of increased production. The man said sales for the 450b were VERY Brisk and he said so with emphasis. He also looked up the numbers and though he would tell me the numbers on re-order, he did tell me the sales are 8 to 1 more 450's than Beowulf's. Also at $549 for the 450b vs $749 for the 50b, the man I talked to, "Speculated" an end to the 50b, at least with Cabela's anyway.. Just Speculation here guys, no fact at all..

Hope this helps. For you guys that ordered some time ago, well, you're in ALLOT better shape than if I ordered today..

Just had to change my Credit card info on the back order and asked what the newest guess was.....8/25/2011......Wow....I will totally forget about it by the time it shows up.Maybe it will show 4 days earlier than that....on my birth day....

Got my upper yesterday and feel lucky it was #15 of 31 shipped from Bushmaster to Cabela's, acording to the shipping label on the box.
