450 Bushmaster Upper On Sale

I've been lurking around here for awhile. Hemmin' and hawin' whether to take the plunge on the 450B. Visited http://www.bushmaster.com tonight (3 Nov 2009) and looks like they have a sale on the upper for $590.

Looks like I might jump in.

I just joined the club, ordered my 16" upper yesterday and a Konus 1.5X6 scope to put on top... My wife was hesitant in letting me pull the trigger, but with the discount she couldn't say no. By the way Bushmaster sells 9 round magazines for ~$40. Now...Where to go piggy hunting?

I am on the bushmaster email list and the newsletter I got today had a code VON09 (looks like Nov backward followed by 09) you get another $25 off the advertised price.. That brings it down to $565 and the extra discount should cover the shipping..

sorta makes me sick to know I paid $434 more from cabelas... That could have ben A LOT of ammo..

congrats.. I got to shoot mine last week for the first time and its a hoot to shoot.. Kick wasnt as bad as i was expecting, BUT I added a Limbsave recoil pad to it..

As far as mags to, any GI mag will work (i prefer the 20 rds because they are shorter) if you either 1) modify the follower or 2) add a single stack follower on top of the standard follower.. I modified some Pmags for 450B use but I had a FTF last week when I shot so I had to make a few more mods.. I hope to get to shoot more tomorrow and/or friday and see how the Pmags work..
