Thanks Al. There is a Bushy 20", a Tromix 18" and a Deadshot 20" in that collection. Nothing flashy but enough to get the job done during deer season. It looks like I won't be able to sight in the Tromix rig until the weekend now due to work schedules.

I had emailed Cole back and forth on those Deadshot barrels, be interested in how they work for you.

Image Hello gentlemen. I've been visiting this site for a while now gaining information and ideas. This is my first post on your forum. After saving up my pennies, I contacted Trident Armory in ME, USA and placed an order. Over the summer I called, texted, and emailed changes and tweaks to my orginal order. Friends, in all my 42 years I've seldom delt with a staff of professionals more enthusiastic, understanding, and competent. This company will exceed your expectations with custom quality and in their willingness to please "you" the customer. Here is my Trident .450 bushmaster: cerakote burnt bronze upper, lower, and forearm, cerakote black 18 inch ported barrel 1'16" twist, CRT magpul fitted with limb saver pad, samson evolution 15 inch forearm, badger tactical latch, Larue QD scope mount with cerakote burnt bronze rings, and 1x4x24 Vortex viper pst scope. I've grabbed several boxes of hornady factory ammo for break-in-period and up coming season. I hunt the southern shotgun zone here in Michigan and have used a smooth bore 870 pump slug gun since 14 years old. I'm very excited as evidenced by this long post! All comments welcome, as I'm new to the .450 bushmaster and AR platform.

my only complaint so far was the quality of the finish. Whoever sprayed the Cerakote on mine didn't prep it too well out there in Oregon. I had to redo it completely to pass my own quality control standards. The barrel itself was machined quite well though. And, Cole did immediately refund a portion of the purchase price for the barrel even before I could suggest it. So he does seem to straight up in my book. It shoots Hornady factory loads with good accuracy. There is a chance with the quicker twist rate that it will like some heavier bullets too. 300-325gr (?) at a little slower speed may be a good thing for some purposes.

450 barrel arrived this afternoon so I finished the SBR build. Shown here with it's scoped 6.8 cousin.

Goal was "under 6lbs with inexpensive parts". With sight, actual weight is 5lbs 15.3oz.
