Windam Weaponry to start production this month.

Instead of hijacking another thread, I am starting this thread on the up and coming Windam Weaponry. According to news articles, we may start seeing the first orders being filled by September of this year. I for one, will throw my full support behind these guys if they can provide better Customer Service than Freedom Group. I do have one question though. What are the chances that Windam Weaponry could start producing the 450 Bushmaster? I asked this question directly to Wild Catter and he is looking into the answer.
If anyone reads any articles or has any updated website information, please post it here on this thread so that we can all stay on top of the situation. There are several and I mean SEVERAL pages of Windam Weaponry articles on Google and I simply don't have time to soak up everything I've read so if you guys see something that is not already being discussed hop on this thread and let us all know. The .450bushmaster is just another caliber. There's nothing that could prevent them from making a gun that chambers it.

I sent them an email telling them "welcome back", and put in a plug for the .450b and 6.5 grendel uppers to be next. A caliber is just a caliber, I don't think there's any way they could be "copyrighted" or proprietary. Let's hope.

I wonder if they'll be doing one in .30 Remington AR any time soon?

Actually, if Bushmaster licensed the name, they might have to choose another one. IE Alexander Arms licensed the "6.5 Grendel" name. So now, you see the 264 LBC, 6.5 CSS, 264 LWC, etc, which are the same basic round. I believe somebody was making a "450 Thumper" barrel, but I can't find who now. I thought it was CSS, but could not find it on their web page.

The whole licensing thing is just another revenue stream that manufacturers are tapping into. I hold that in the same regard as those web companies who buy up web site names in advance and then sell them for a profit, or better yet, lease the name, so that you can really ever own it. The love of money...

AA released the 6.5 Grendel.Good news for the grendel.Wolf is coming out with ammo also.Lots of info and comments on arfcom.
