The Bushy in Slo Mo

A range buddy of mine took some slow motion video of me shooting my .450
I was a bit surprised to see how much barrel whip there was.

Whoa!

There's an argument for loading for OBT.

All the guys at work were fascinated by that video. Thanks,

I'd be interested in seeing how the longer barrels respond, or how much whip you get from the factory ammo. These were my fairly mild 200gr FTX's with 35gr of Lil gun. Lots of violence going on there.

Yep. Only mods are the rifle length tube, and a little milling in the gas block.

I think I'll try some loads with 35 grains Lil gun with my 20 inch 450.Your brass looked like its sealing pretty good.I'm getting ragged hole groups with 36 grains Lil gun but 37 or more is overgassing.Wish BM put rifle length gas on 20 inch uppers.

That's a cool video. It's interesting to see what really happens to the rifle under recoil.

Sorry, it's a rifle length free float tube. The gas tube length is stock/carbine. I am very impressed with the consistent accuracy of this rifle.

Whow!!!! That is great. I noticed how the barrel was forced downward by the brake. Doing what it is supposed to do. Would be interesting to see it with out the brake.
