I have a 450 in the 16" lenght and really don't need another one, but couldn't stand it any longer and ordered a 20" upper. That's a great price!

Would you recommend the 16 or the 20?

This day in history

Postby Hoot » Wed Mar 31, 2010 3:29 pm

Well, I figured I'd wait until they close for the day to post this milestone.
4 weeks ago today, I ordered my upper and was told by name deleted at Bushmaster that it would ship in 4 weeks. That would be today. No hit on my check card. No shipment email. Nada...

I couldn't let the sale go buy, ordered a 16" yesterday and then ordered 100 rounds from Midway. I've got 2 spikes tactical multi marked lowers sitting here doing nothing.

I'd been going back and forth between .450, .458, and .50 and the sale made up my mind for me. I hope the wait isn't too long.

I wonder if he meant 3-5 weeks from when one was ordered or and additional 3-5 weeks from this point in time?
Kinda discouraging if it's the latter. :|

I think its the latter Hoot! I called last week and they told me 3 weeks (waiting on bolts). I think 3 to 5 weeks sounds like a standard answer. I'll let everyone know when mine gets here. BTW, ordered some ammo from Midway today. It was in stock.

HI, new here, was about to buy the 16" upper but its not on sale anymore. for 800 bucks i think i'll buy a 458 socom instead @ 720 bucks from RRA, or maybe a 50 beowulf, i reload so either carts are not a problem ammo wise, what do you guys think? How often does BM have this sale??? Thanks

So far the sale has been annually and coinciding with tax time. You might want to hold off on the .458 socom and the .50 Beowulf As I here brass and ammo availability is spotty at best. I went through the same dilemma but factory ammo backing and availability was what sold me. As well as the cartridge designer being very active on the boards and net community. Just my .02 :D
