Wow Hoot, you're a little more scientific than I am when it comes to working up a load. I wouldn't go nearly as in-depth as that. So I guess the CCIs will work for that speed, and you'll just have to let us know how much more velocity you can get out of it and what the gun prefers as the velocity goes up.

Speaking of Windham, I just love this quote from the Freedom Group, talking about relocating the Bushmaster manufacturing to New York:

A Freedom Group press release states: “The Bushmaster brand and products remain key strategic assets within the Freedom Group portfolio."

If ever there was a more spot-on method of identifying a bean counter at the top of an org chart, I don't know what it would be! I'm glad to see that the people who see their work product as something more than debits and credits on a balance sheet have managed to find employment again.

That's what happens every time a company goes public...the entire focus of the organization changes to achieve only one objective: Increasing "shareholder value" every quarter. Welcome to Wall Street. :x

A few days ago, I sent Windham Weaponry a "Welcome Back" email.

From: Robin *************@*************.net
Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2011 11:24 AM
To: Info Info
Subject: Welcome Back!
It is so great to have you guys back in the saddle! I am looking forward to seeing your inventory and selection and accessories expand! I bought my Bushmasters back in 2010 so you might say I am a returning customer! This spring was a disaster for me when I tried to do business with the Freedom Group version of Bushmaster and my Lowers projects were put on hold for over four months. I finally canceled the orders and did business with other AR MFGs through Midway and Brownells. I hope that you guys can work with Tim LeGendre and Bill Alexander, and bring us some quality AR platforms that in my opinion, Freedom Group will NEVER be able to rise to. I also hope that as you expand your parts selection, I can call on Windham Arms for my future AR builds. Thank you especially Mr. Dyke for stepping up and putting the fine folks up there in Maine back to work doing what they do best.
I look forward to getting your first catalog!
Welcome Back and God Bless you all.
-A returning customer,

The responded today.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message.  We are excited about our new company and look forward to offering excellent product and customer service to our customers.  Our catalog is online as this time, but as printed material becomes available I will send it to you.

We appreciate your interest in Windham Weaponry.  Keep an eye on our website, as we ramp up we will be adding items to our offering.

Sincerely,
Cheryl

What??? You got a reply to your email! Funny how that works when you have a company who gives a damn about it's products and reputation. I'll be using Windham for my future builds also Sheepdog. That was a nice word of encouragement, good of ya.

Yepper, I sent them a "welcome back" email, too, and actually got a nice response the next day. They seem to actually want to respond to customers. How refreshing! Especially in contrast to the following:

Multiple emails to Bushmaster CS = no response.
Multiple emails to Remington CS = no response.
Multiple emails to Freedom Group CS = no response.

I wonder if Freedom Group reads this forum? I hope they read this thread.
