Its finally here ordered a 16 in upper on sale on nov 30 and it was laying on my door step tonight almost forgot I ordered it . Now to find some ammo ! Seems like everywhere I look its on backorder . Still debating over what scope to buy for it . I'm going to use it for deer hunting in wis. Most shots under 100yds but do have a couple of fields to cover out to 250. Anyone have a realworld sugg. don't feel like spending more on optics than what I paid for the upper .

There was a good thread about economical optics about a month ago... might search for "scope" or sterling... and congrats and welcome to the forum!

So I'm gonna have to wait for 3+ months for mine to arrive? I thought it was only a 2-4 weeks wait time?

I don't think so. They seem to be back on top of stock again.

3-4 weeks is what I was told to when I ordered back in nov. but Its been too cold here in wis this winter to go shooting anyways. Now the spring thaw is here I'm getting a itchy trigger finger hope you get yours faster than I got mine keep us posted . tjsx1

Congrats on the upper, I'm sure you will enjoy it!

I ordered mine last November and it took about three weeks for me to get it. So they don't all take that long. I put a lower end 3-9x Leupold on mine and so far it has worked great. I think it was about $170 from Cabelas on sale.

Here ya go, on the ammo (http://ammoseek.com/) and I talked to Tom Tyler, head of sales at Bushy, they are waiting on bolts and he says 3 weeks more, sans any hang-ups.

PS.. REMMY IS SHIPPING THE NEW AMMO!! Friend of mine bought two boxes today, don't know which bullet until he emails me back..t
