Naw.. My diesel pulls it like it's not even back there. Just park a mile from the corn feeder load a shell, sit on the tail gate with a cup of Cafe Du Monde and wait....

That's a pretty cool .338.

Some thoughts are in order.

A scaled up AR, we now have the AR in 20-25 & 30 mm cannon rounds, so the sky is the limit.

That 338, uses a 10t barrel and to use the 300gr Sierra MatchKing, one really needs a 8.5-9t barrel. The one in 10t bullets,
start tumbling after ranges of 800yds and the 300g is well capable of ranges approaching 1500yds, So, the 10t barrel is better suited to 250gr match bullets..

yea for sure, my POF P308 is heavy too, but my way of hunting is hike only on top of the nearest hill, find the target and shoot
