New to the Bush 450

I just bought a new Bushmaster 450 at Cabelas and took it to the range today. It operated very good. Recoil wasn't bad and it was very accurate. I cleaned it up and it didn't seem to get as carbon fouled as a .223 AR. I am happy with it, but wish there was a higher capacity magazine for it.

Buy the Sig 556 mags (They sell them in two's because the can link together)

They will hold twelve but sometimes have trouble with the first couple rounds, but if you keep it to 10 they will work without any problems.

Sig 556 mags (I'm not endorsing this company, it's just the first place I found doing a google search)

Humm......how can the SIG 556 magazines work on a Bushmaster 450? The rounds are such a different size, the feed lips would be to small wouldn't they?

The 5 round 450b mags that Bushmaster sells are just straight 20 rounds 223/5.56 magazines with a "Sled" follower like you can buy at Fulton Armory.

The Follower is normally used by highpower and DCM shooters for single shot loading.

So the feed lips are just 223/5.56 feed lips. People have tried using standard 30 mags with varying degrees of succes, but most people have had good luck with the sig 556 mags.

Thanks for the info. Has anyone tried to modify a polymer magazine like a Lancer? You would just need to switch out the follower right?
