Finally....

Shot my .450 yesterday. Ive had it in the safe for about two months now from the previous Cabelas deal. Its a 16", built it on a RRA lower with RRA winter trigger guard and RRA NM2 trigger w/ lpk. On top is a one piece RRA 30mm mount with a Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44 BDC reticle. shot all touching groups at 100yds. Backed up to 200yds used the 2nd slash on reticle (4.5moa) since zero is at 100yds the 200yd bullet drop is around 8.7-8.8" well the 4.5moa works out pretty damn good, grouped them all in a straight line at 200yds dead nuts on on elevation, the 10mph wind pushed it right around 10" but was pretty happy with the results from a "slug gun"

shot a 4x4 treated post with it twice behind the targets we were shooting at and it cut it in half. going to be a helluva hog gun

My backstop is made from railroad ties and it blows through that thing like it is a piece of plywood, then into a pile of tires, rattles around a bit then finally decides to stop ripping stuff up. It is definitely a pig popper. 1/4 inch steel plate can't stand a chance, and I am soon going to show that a 7/16' plate is not going to stand a chance.

im pretty impressed so far and im not easily impressed, the .500 S&W impressed me when i picked it up, not sure what im going to do with it yet but pretty impressive

probably carry it this weekend as rifle season opens up sat morning in OK, would hate to see a buck of a lifetime though sittin out at 300yds and me with this slug gun. bought this for one main reason and that was hog/brush gun, starting to fall in love though, ha!

ive never let a new firearm go unfired for as long as i did the .450, typically mine are shot same day/next weekend of the week i bought it
