DIY chamber?

Postby str8wal » Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:32 am

Hi all. I am interested in building a 450 BM bolt gun but like to do things myself. The 450 looks to be a pretty easy chamber job. Would I be correct in that assumption?

Cheers, Rod.

str8wal-

The chambering process is straightforward, and doesn't differ from that used with most any other rimless cartridge.

Keep this forum informed of your progress and results. Thanks.

Thanks. It will the the elbow grease method, T-handle and a barrel vice. I did a 357 max chamber thusly and this looks like a similar situ, not a lot of steel to remove.

Call Dave Manson at Dave Manson Reamers, Dara usually answers the phone and she knows her stuff too. But order the reamer from them, they made all of the original reamers for the 450b and still do them. Mention that I sent y'all..Tim LeGendre..

..t

Ps.. I only use their reamers..t
