I have a factory 20" Bushmaster that the wife going take over for up coming deer season, she's a semi-auto type person. I picked up a Ruger 77 left hand Hawkeye in 7-08 thats going to be my donor.

Being its almost June I really don't have a lot of time to get a barrel screwed on it. Are there any gunsmiths in South Eastern Michigan that will do a good job in a timely manner. I would also be willing to send the gun out to have the work done, but that would cut into my budget.

Barrel manufacture recommendations ?

if you find somebody holler, I have one I might need to get done too.

McGowen and Pacnor will contour, thread, and pretty sure they'd chamber too.

Back in February McG's quoted 12-14 weeks for a contoured threaded blank, figured I'd chamber it myself.....................then things got busy and here we are today still snoozing!!!
