Mcgowen prefit remington 700 barrel

Anyone put one of these on with the Savage style barrel nut ? I am thinking about going this route.And anyone know of another Manufacturer of this for the 450 ?

Thanx Al got a barrel from Apache ,excellant machine work.Installed it and test fired .Scope mounted ready to sight in it was pre made only thing i wonder about is it is 16 twist will see.

I had two goals when I was going into my bolt build. Drive a 200gr Barnes fast and accurate, and get all I could get from a Parker 300gr Match Hunter.

I didn't have time last fall to try either, just settled on the factory fodder to get thru the season. 16t was no issue with the 250gr FTX

16 twist is fine one hole groups at 50 yrds very much under an inch at 100 yrds ,with factory 250 ftx.Very pleased feeds fine, consistant poi cold bore.
