I got this email yesterday:

Just sending you an update to let you know that we received a shipment of the Ruger American .450 Bushmaster with the 16” threaded barrel and the Tan Stock. We currently only have about 350 in stock. They can be picked up in the store here in Bad Axe this weekend at the Novi gun show at the Suburban showplace, or shipped to a dealer near you before Christmas. Please e-mail or call us at 989-269 GUNS (4867) to reserve one today.

The brake was not included when I picked mine up on Saturday, it was another $130 or so I think.

I just asked that question on GB and got a response from Randy's that they are NOT included. They cost $149.00. The picture should be pulled as buyers will expect them, although they are not included in the description.

I had a Magnaport brake like the one pictured on a 308 scout rifle I build 30 years ago. Firing it without ear protection was like driving knitting needles through your ears. It went into the trash.

Well all brakes make the rifle way louder, that's the trade off for lower recoil/muzzle jump. I had a magna port on a 35 whelen and the recoil dropped down to a 223. It was great!!

My dad bought the ruger from Randy in 22" barrel. Its not threaded and I mentioned to him the Ross brake seemed the way to go. He said he would likely just have it ported by magnaport. Whats the pro's/con's of a ported barrel vs a brake?
