IMHO, Hornady would not use the CCI BR4. While they are very consistent, they are no where as hot as the Rem 7 1/2 or WSR. The Federal GM205M is right behind the 7 1/2 and WSR in temperature. Any one of those would get it done. Not that the BR4 wouldn't, jut not as well.

interesting on the primers.

wonder if its a different primer? or just a change in the priming compound color itself?


they've changed tip colors before for a special marketing product, so nothing would surprise me.

i'm sure the had to expect some pull down testing to happen out in the wild like this - so it wouldnt be too much of a shocker if someone said 'hey, lets have a little fun with the internet' 8-)

Lol could be!

They look to have completely different primer cups with the Black looking like a winchester. Not sure about the custom ammo with red material and the flatter looking cup.
