Quick Question on Stock Inlet and 450

Hey fellas, I am learning a lot on this forum and loving the pictures of the different builds. I was wondering why the vast majority use a DBM in their 450BM bolt gun builds. Is it a son of a gun to get the 450 to feed from a blind magazine like a Rem 700 BDL? I know the cartridge is shorter than the .308, so I can see how that may pose a problem.

I was just curious if I built a bolt gun using a Rem 700 receiver in 450 if I should just plan on using a stock with DBM or if a standard BDL will work.

Thanks in advance.

my 700 BDL has a stock 308 follower and feeds 3 FTX's from the mag with no issues. I haven't tried a XTP yet.

I've been eyeing up the Magpul DBM for 700's thou, mostly because I just like detachable mags and you can't beat center feeds imho.
