Savage showing 2 guns offered in .450 bushmaster:

110 wolverine

and 110 scout

I like the look of the scout better, with the black and tan coloring. But I am not sure about the forward scope mounting.

I'd be filling that hollow part of the stock up with Zircon sand. ;)

The Wolverine looks like a winner. Little bit heavier at 7.9 lbs, but that weight would be preferred to me over the RAR @ 5.5 lbs lol

Did you notice the barrel lengths? 18 inches on the wolverine and 16.5 on the scout. I was surprised they were that short.

I am sure they shoot great, but for the price I thick those are ugly compared to the Ruger's. Maybe its the really fat muzzle breaks. Who knows, maybe I will handle one and they will grow on me.

Nah. If I ever decided that my AR rigs weren't able to take care of my needs and only a bolt action would suffice, I'd have a custom, rifle length barrel made for one of my Model 12's with the Varmint Thumbhole stocks. Don't see any cheap, rifle length, aftermarket barrels available. Just carbines. Probably would get a Shilen, if they offer one in 1:24. I already own more rifles and shotguns than I have disposable time to shoot. Not into "safe queens", despite having some.
When my 85yr old Dad goes to the great hunting party in the sky, that number will double.
