Hello people,

I see that KAW VALLEY has released the socomb compensator

https://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Kaw-Va ... 5-8x32.htm

But we are still waiting for the 450 Bushmaster version. Couple
Months back they told me it would be out soon. I just sent them another email looking for a update tonthe time frame.

I dont know if you all have seen the advantages of these defices. I like them SO MUCH I owen seven of them!! I thibk thatbthey are great and will have one on every gun I shoot allot that can. Enifot from its effects.

Has any one herd any information on release dates?

If I can find a thread adaptor for a fair cost I would consider just buying the socomb device.

Looks interesting, I'd try one. I have some linear comps on 5.56s and do like them for hunting.

Today A friend found and sent me a phone number to Kaw Valley.

I called, aparently it was a number directly into ghe factory!!!

I apologised and explained my emails where unanswered for many weeks and then said how much I enjoyed the product.

Lastly I pleaded my case. He confirmed that the company WILL make these. Its not top prority, but should happen THIS YEAR. But he hasnt worked on them or seen them worked on. Suggested we watch the company web siteas demand will be low and retailers may not carry it.

Just a thought and if a guy has the means to do it, you can bore that 5/8-32 out to .640 and retap to 11/-16-24.

Yesterday a acquaintance sent me a phone number to KAW Factory. I called and spoke with someone they said that YES they would be producing this before the end of the year but none just yet.

THEN, this AM, I got a email reply!!

Karen said that they ARE making them in the next retooling batch later this week! SO, There may be some made for there testing and evaluation!!

HOPPING and HPOOING I can get something before this next hunting season. I cannot take the chance on using it without...

Thanks Al.

Yes of coarse and its not a difficult job either... problem is the comps I buy are designed for lower pressures and are made of aluminum. (Unknown number or tinsel) But they specifically recommend against using with higher intensity calibers...

I don't think anything catastrophic could happen, but might split with repeated shots. Question is would it split after a dozen or ten thousand shots... If even a thousand I would be tempted to do this as the advantages overrun the costs associated. (As long as danger is as I expect it to be.)

I do have a correct 11/16x24 tap already. :)

I am gonna do this Al!!

I was thinking this weekend and when a friend of a friend had a used KAW he did not want... I grabbed it for 10$ ... If it splits with the pressures no much lost.

Stay tined...
