BAD RANGE DAY

AT 100yds my Ruger was dead on and 2 inches high shooting hornadyftx 250gr bullets with 38.5gr lil gun. I moved to 200yds and i was 5 inches low and3inches right. although group was approx 2 INCHES.......... I AM AT A LOSS ???????????

what is your sight height (center of tube to center of bore)?

Drop sounds about right.

Shooting right could be the wind and it doesn't take much to move those bullets, or could be mount holes not square to barrel, or canted scope maybe.

I think the wind played hob with the 200yd shooting. I will double check to be sure the scope isnt canted.

that sounds most likely, unless the wind was pretty damn gusty that day.

doesnt takea whole lot of cant to move a bullet a couple inches over 100 yds.
