450 BM barrel for Ruger American?

Have a Ruger American in 300 BO, kicking around the idea of rebarelling to 450BM.
Anyone know where to source a spun off RAR barrel?
See a few places offer an aftermarket prefit- thoughts?

bolt or bolt head would have to be changed or opened up to .308 size, not sure if they are interchangeable like a Savage is.
RAR threads are 1" x 16 I believe, same as the 77's and Ruger's Precision barrels, and I think I saw a "Rugerage" barrel nut on PTG's site, so if bolt head change not a issue, I see no reason why it won't work.

Good call on the boltface. I come from the savage world so that is something I have to get in the habit of thinking about now.

Just a personal option sell your 300 BO rifle and buy a 450 BM....you will come out ahead of the game $$$.....

There is a lot of merit to that option for sure.
These rifles are inexpensve enough that it would prob be the cost effective way.
That being said I've rebarreled a number of Savages and think it would be a fun project.
Ideally I would like to find a factory barrel someone has lying around.
