Hey all,

The urban legend is true, i ordered a Franklin Armory XO-26 (SE-SSP) chambered in .450 Bushmaster.....I was breathless when it finally arrived. I held back and didn't post until i got good and comfortable with it. It is an Effing Monster! It will excite you and i am now rededicating myself to this platform as it has endless implications for Sport/Protection. I am still testing optics (cheapest to Most expensive) to see what'll pass and ultimately what i will mate with this. I am not zero'd yet but 5 MOA@100yds w/ 11 inch barrel. I also have a 5.56 upper and that is a riot also. Here is a pic i will put up video and more pics later. Make mo mistake, Franklin Armory is the REAL DEAL!

That's a lot of Thumper in a little package. Congrats. If I had the money, I'd SBR one of those. They look like great fun.

best,
JBR

I realized after alot of rounds a couple of things: A) Recoils is not a factor with practise. B) With the length of this barrel/firearm, it can actually reach out pretty good (farther that initially expected), C) I would love to see this XO (crossover) Platform continue to develope, mabe even competition class. It is a lot of Fun. FYI Successfully mod'd a .223 mag to feed 8 rounds (working on 9), no jams, double feeds, etc.

FWIW, I like the custom cut-out foam approach to your case. All of mine have the waffle pattern, flat surface, type interiors. For a dedicated case, the custom fit seems like a good idea.

Have you had any adverse reaction between the foam rubber and any lingering solvents or lubricants on the firearms, or is it some form of passivated or solvent resistant foam rubber?

I ask because I did that with some generic foam rubber many years ago in a pistol case and that particular foam rubber turned to sticky goo where chemcals from the pistol leeched out into it.

funny u noticed. I actually made a temorary case, while my Carbon case design is being finalized. funny though this foam is "closed cell" so it is resistant to degredation. We use it on unrelated products.

LOL, glad you like it so much, but I do have a suggestion about home protection and BBQ Sauce. What you need are, big hollow-pointed bullets, filled with BullsEye Brand BBQ Sauce, for it makes Home Invaders, taste like Chicken!!!
