CTD, and probably others, have Franklin Armory 450b pistols in stock at the moment. Quite a handful, I would expect!

does anyone have actual velocity data on the 11.5" barrel length?
Is it much different than the 16"? I dont expect too much velocity loss but actual numbers would be great.
There were estimates on the youtube posted by Franklin that the factory gives "2000"fps, and some armslist post quoted 2686 ft lbs at the muzzle of the 11.5" which would give 2200fps.
thinking of building a pistol...

No real data, but the difference between a 20" and a 16" is about 100 fps, making that 25 fps/inch

So another 4.5" would make factory ammo a little under 2000 fps.

Then again, an 11.5" barrel may not burn all the powder so I don't know.

I'm just throwing out guesses that are worth exactly the price you paid for them.

Mudder is right the 11.5" won't burn our powder very well and the fps burn reduction is closer to 50fps/inch or closer to 15-1800fps with a very large fire-ball, at bullet exit. Reloading with say AA9-AA7 or 2400 or Blue Dot or Unique or, or.. is where that is at, if efficiency is wanted..
