Hello All from Minnesota. Another noobie to the 450 BM. The 450 is my fourth AR (.223, 7.62x39, 300 BO x2 (one is a pistol) out of 5. I wanted a big bore AR and was looking at the 450, 458 SOCOM or the 50 Beowulf. I found my American Tactical at a gun show for a pretty good price and ran with it. I love this gun. Have it topped with a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40. Shot some Hornady Black and Custom rounds through it. I have began reloading it with Hornady bullets and Lil Gun powder. Been lurking around here for while now and finally signed up for an account.

Like to thank you for letting me join. I am in the first stage of building a 450bm although I own a few AR platforms I have only tinkered, swapped barrels, triggers and such. Look forward to learning from your experiences.

Belated Happy New Year, Bushmaster fans!!!

My Ruger GSR .450BM arrived this afternoon. Still waiting for dies and brass to show up so I’ll have to make do with factory fodder for now.

Being Canadian, we can’t hunt with the AR platform or carry it in the bush so when the .450BM started showing up in production bolt guns, I was a happy camper.

Thanks for the welcome and I stand ready to be educated in all things .450!!!

Mike

Thanks Al.

I’m pretty jazzed to try it out. I already have a GSR in .308 so I expect I’ll be just as impressed with it’s larger bored sibling. I just grabbed 100 rounds of .450 Hornady FTX to keep me going until the dies show up. I have a variety of different cast boolits I want to try out.

I’m on the West Coast, just outside Vancouver, BC. Reloading gear, supplies, and ammo are readily available everywhere but due to our crappy currency exchange rate, they’re rather pricey. If your wallet can handle it, you can find pretty much everything.

Hello from Ohio. Just built my first 450 in ar15. Had a 16.5 barrel cut to 12.5 rethreaded. Used sba3 brace, xl aero upper, Anderson lower with a rise 140 trigger. Look forward to scanning the reloading section.
