Winchester Deer Season XP 450 Factory Ammo

Postby isptroop38 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 6:29 pm

I stumbled across some listings for Winchester Deer Season XP ammo in 450 Bushmaster. It appears to be a "250gr Poly Tip" projectile. I can not find it on Winchester's website and the stock photos show a bottleneck cartridge. I'd be interested to see if they sell the bullets as components separately in the future. Probably a really long ways off.

Better late to the party, than never.

I'm guessing we'll see something at SHOT 2018. You think they would have tried something different in terms of bullet.

In Theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice, there is.

I'm going to guess the bullet is the 250gr FTX.

Winchesters been noted to partner with Nosler at times, if so it might look like the poly tipped round nose they use in the 45-70.

would really be nice if they tipped, or even skipped the tip, on their Platinum reverse taper jacketed bullets!!!!

I'm going to SHOT Show this year. I'll be interested to see if anyone is coming out with factory 450 rifles like Ruger did. With more states making them legal for hunting and with the enormous demand, I would think more manufacturers would be adding it to their lineup.

Be interesting too, thought savage would've hopped on by now and don't see Big Green joining the bolt action crowd.

Might be a few AR offerings, guess we'll see.
