Its been awhile since the last post, i was wondering if anyone has figured out a good load for subsonic for the 425g makers since 2019. Im using a semi auto and would like it to cycle.

I sort of gave up on the 425 gr. Makers for sub-sonic and moved on to other projects....just couldn't find any #9 powder.....have boxes of bullets I should pass on to some one that could use them....

Been using for years Cutting Edge Bullets 240 gr. handgun bullet with a spear point tip added.....keep shots under 70 yards.....a load of Trail Boss of 12 gr. 1020 FPS is very quiet with a suppresser loudest noise is the bullet hitting the target....

I also no longer have hunting property in the UP of Michigan most of my shots were under 50 yards there....now I hunt in farm country where a 100-200 yard shot is the norm....

Its been a few years now and i have fired almost 400 of these bullet's now. I have a ar15 w 1:16 deadshot barrel tubb 300 blk flatwire buffer spring superlative arms adj gas block. The load i went with was 17.3g h110 col 2.2 rem 7 1/2 . Grt has it at 74% fill and 85% burn if i remember right. With a piece of paper 6 in from the muzzle we didnt se any unburned powder or burns, just a clean hole. They are printing around 1in @ 100y on a clean non guilded barrel. I think the long bullet going down the faster twist is letting the powder burn up vs the grt model its 140ish fps slower to. Tested accurate out to 200y, i ran out of elevation. Also in a similar set up vvn110 did model better. If the speed decrease hold true 15.2 g n110 r34 col of 2.150 nets 81% fill 100% burn. Would love to get some more to try that load but not at $2 a piece $26/20 bullets was high enough.
