Targets

Postby simpleman » Fri Feb 10, 2012 5:29 pm

Hello All
Here is a target I use to keep track of reloading. I copy them at the local copy shop for $.08 cents each and put a 1 inch orange target spot in the middle. It works great out to 100 yards.
Hope this helps the reloaders out there.

I was just kidding around, but it will come in handy when the range opens in April.

Okay
Here is updated version of my target. This should have a place for all the information about a load you will need. I print one take it and have black and white copies made for .08 each. I put a 1" orange target decal on it to help with visibility. If anyone has suggestions let me know.

Great target. Thanks.
I may have to take the bushy out tomorrow now.
The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

Forgive me for not actually posting them, but each one is 3.3 MB in size.

Here are links to the ones I designed and use.

1/2" Bull 1/2" Grid
4-Up 1/2" Bulls
1" Bull 1/2" Grid
1.5" Bull 1/2" Grid
2" Bull 1/2" Grid

They are intended to be printed on 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. The 4-up has two features. You can use the center cross to sight in and then pick on the four individual targets within. If your browser automatically reduces images in excess of the display area, it may change the way they look, as in not very professional. Indeed, they are, but you will need to view them in an image viewer, not a browser.

Hoot
I like the 4 up. That would be a good target for my Savage 17 HMR.
Here is the set up I use at the range. Foam core poster board from Walmart. Clip it to some chicken wire and you are good to go.
Targets stay on in the wind pretty well to.
Heading to range this weekend to put some holes in them.
I have 8 different loads 4 shots each to try.
