TOUCHDOWN!

Postby TacoTaco » Thu May 17, 2012 7:34 pm

I just scored 124 pcs of 1X fired 450 Brass for $10!!! A range I occasionally go to sells the brass that folks leave behind, and saw that I was shooting a .450B. They'd never heard of it, so they gave it to me for a song!

Just had to share that. I ran into the house all excited and told the wife, but she didn't really understand what the big deal was.

There was valuable intel there as well. Now you know at least one other person at your range shares your interest in this caliber. Now you need to hook up with him and go there at the same time. Then your brass will be even cheaper. ;)

I have a member of my local club/range who is also a member of this forum. Unfortunately, our schedules rarely coincide.

Good score! ...and your wife was probably not excited because she knows that "cheap" brass requires primers, bullets and powder at retail pricing :D

I am in the market for used brass. 12.5 cents sounds good to me, but in the spirit of full disclosure, here is a quote form another thread on this subject - http://450bushmaster.net/posting.php?mode=quote&f=5&p=31128.

Jim in Houston wrote:I am in the market for used Hornady or Remington 450 Bushmaster brass from those of you who do not reload. I am interested in brass that has been fired once. I will pay 25 cents per round and cover shipping by flat rate USPS. It does not have to be clean - just collect it as it is ejected.

I am also interested in a counter offer, if you are so inclined.

Of course, this may start a bidding war, so let the games begin. :o

PM me if you have some to sell.

Sorry Jim, I've already got plans for them. This has drastically increased my supply of brass for this cartridge!
