Welcome back all! Midway has blems on sale again. Good luck.

I ordered 3 boxes. Anyone know if these are Hornady or something else? Not that it matters. :)

Midway is having a sale on blemished bullets, including a .452 250 gr flextip that looks remarkably like the .452 250 gr FTX. They are $20.99 for a box of 50 vs $29.99 new (actually, Midway has them new at $27.99). I have purchased blems from Midway before and they are "good as new" except for not being as shiney as the originals. They may also have (or lack) canneluers.

They also have .452 bullets in 240, 250, and 300 gr jhp. They are linked under the handgun bullets category at http://www.midwayusa.com/find?promotionid=604644&cm_mmc=M_Spop-Email-_-Hot_Buy-_-Hot_Buy_61820123_1-_-45-50-Cal&cm_mmca1=jmsjnk%40earthlink.net+&cm_mmca2=CustNum%3D102427040, 45-50 Cal Handgun Bullets Hot Buy.

I just received my "blems" from Midway (.452, 250 gr), which certainly appear to be the real thing from Hornady. I am going back for more.

Here is the link - http://www.midwayusa.com/find?userSearchQuery=blemished+bullets+45+caliber. They are currently showing three different kinds of 250 gr and the 300 gr. I ordered #144134 for $20.99. Don't know how the other 250 gr bullets differ - they weren't in the original email ad. The "spitzers" are only $16.49 for 50.

Just got mine. If these are blems, I sure cannot tell the difference between them and factory Hornady bullets! They appear perfect.

I suspect these are simply production overruns. I loaded up on 30 cal bullets and a box of 250 FTX. None are what I would call blems, but I suspect that keeps Midway on good terms with the manufacturers for not saying new, bulk.

The boxes they come in are nice as well.
Hint: To get the more stubborn labels off, warm them with a cautious application of heat gun first.

I'll have to check my part number but my 250gr blems have a green polymer tip, same color as Z-Max bullets.

well, to answer my own question: the 918926 bullets at $16.49 are listed as muzzle loader bullets for use with 50 cal. sabots. They have yellow tips, so I suspect that they are Remington??.Heluva bargin at sixteen bucks.

My 144134 bullets have red tips, so they must be FTXs.

The phots on the Midway site shows them as being gray, I wonder how many different bulles there actually are?

The yellow tip could also be from Thompson center MZ bullets. I have some of them and i swear they are made by Hornady, with a yellow tip shoved in the end as apposed to the red.
