Just before my surgery, I did some test runs with their 160 and 185gr ones since the 200s are not available yet. I've got a range report made up somewhere, to post on them. The forum was down by the time I felt like sitting up after the surgery. The 160 and 185gr ones are obviously Barnes TAC-XP production overruns or some such as they are identical to that product. The 200s look identical to the XPB. The 160s were too light to get really into the sweet zone with my initial, conservative loads but the 185s showed promise. Like so many other bullets, they are on my list of interest to do more loading with.

The only drawback I noticed with the boxes I bought was their diameter ran .4497 to .4507 IIRC. Hard to hold onto and they go down the barrel way too easily. After around 1500 trouble-free rounds through my 450b, I finally experienced my first squib load using them and that was ahead of ATK 2400! Classic slug of unburned powder among some loose stuff that got into everything and the bullet stuck about .15 into the lands. Had to drive it out with my Tipton cleaning rod. Luckily, I take my cleaning rig to the range with me.

They are among the projects I'm itching to get back to the range with. Perhaps tomorrow if the range isn't under construction.

For the last year I have only seen them listed, but never in stock.

That 200gr I want to run thru a couple of my ML's for giggles.
