Yeah and that cannelure should stop the expansion, right at the Cannelure. This might be a real good Bang-Flopper. Any chance identifying who the manufacture is??

Looking at the jacket thickness and what looks to be a heel lock, I'd say Hornady.

Maybe, but I think Hornady's 300 grainers are all Hollow Head, like me..

Has anyone thought anymore about this bullet? I would but 500 is a lot if they aren't a good choice for the 450B. If we knew what bullet it was we could run it thru QL or another program. The BC, for one, would be helpful. My shooting partner will split an order with me if they are what we can use speed and trajectory wise. I'm not sure I want to go that heavy. I seem to have a need for speed, not sure why. I guess just because we, I, can.

Has anyone shot these yet? What is their length and how much bullet is in front of the top of the cannelure?

I picked a few up from Hop and gave them a test drive this afternoon. They shot the same 2" @ 110yds as the 300gr XTP Mags I usually run in my 16" upper.

btw...........OAL is .795 and nose to top of cannuler is .350

Thanks, that leaves .445" in the case and an OAL of 2.05" if seated at the cannelure. We can easily load them at 1/2 diameter, .226". That leaves us with an OAL of 2.269". Using my C Products Defense 6.8 mags which allow for a 2.3"+ OAL, that is assuming the barrel will allow that much length.

Now all we need to know is the BC to make accurate down range charts.

if I had to guess at a BC, I'd say .180 - .190
