Yeah, when I first got my 450b, back in the spring of 2010, it was regularly $44.99 a box from Midway, so at least it's not being gouged like a lot of other reloading components. The price slid down a few bucks since early 2011. Even better when you catch it on sale. Given that everything has gone up since then, except for Natural Gas, I'm surprised that most brass hasn't paralleled market trends.

In the same time frame, around these parts, my favorite bread has gone from $1.59 a loaf to $3.49.

The cost of new brass is what drives me to collect everything I fire and solicit offers to buy once fired brass from any of you who don't reload. My standing offer is 25 cents per case (but make me an offer) plus shipping.

Anyway, I think the best way to get brass for reloading is to wait for a sale on BM450 ammo, then shoot it to generate your own brass. Sure, 50 cases will cost you $75, but hopefully you got at least $35 of fun out of making it.
