Thanks for the heads up....Looks like I'll be looking for some WSR and Rem 71/2......Not sure if there's a difference in the wolf sr and smr besides cup thickness.......I'll probably load a few to see how they compare since I have so many......just need that chrono!

With a dearth of reloading supplies, I picked up some Remington 7-1/2 and CCI 400's in addition to my normal WSR's. I reloaded a dozen 225 gr FTX .452 cal (Midway blems) with 38 grains of Lil Gun for each of the three primers and shot them at 100 yards. It was about 95 degrees with a SE wind (from 7 or 8 o'clock). I had no misfires or any other problems with any of the three brands. For comparison, I also shot some Hornady Bushmaster 450 250 g FTX rounds. Here are the chrono results and images of the best group out of the four three round groups I shot with each. The WSR's gave the best groups, but the others weren't bad (for me - I am not a really good group shooter), but the Remingtons had higher overall velocities. Note, due to limitations on the number of attachments that can be posted, the Remington Group image is in the next post.

Chime in with any comments.

Nice work Jim! Just packing to leave work, else I'd have more to say. Yes, this is Hoot!

Thanx so much Jim! I've been wondering about the CCI 400s. Looks like I may give them a try.
