Plastic ammo boxes

Postby longnkrnch » Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:46 pm

I've been using Plano 50rd flip tops made for .444 Marlin and 45-70, but I have to put a piece foam on top of the 450 rds to take up the slop. Does annoy one know of a better choice in ammo boxes?

I use one like this.

Mtm case guard for the 460 s&w and similar rounds.

+1 on the MTM Caseguard boxes which have actual hinges as opposed to just a flexible plastic hinge like the Franklin Arsenal and Midway boxes. To be honest, I don't know if all MTM boxes have the real hinge or if that's just a slightly more expensive model of theirs. Bottom line is, whatever brand or model, make sure they have a real hinge.
