Lil' Gun powder availability

Postby commander faschisto » Sat Feb 13, 2016 2:59 pm

Natchez Shooter's supply has Lil' Gun in stock (as of today's date), and maybe other sources do also...for those needing said propellant! Limit of 1 container, of course. :D

I went up to the local Cabela's today. They had about every powder I could think of except Lil Gun. As you would expect from Cabelas, prices were 1/3 again more expensive than online and that was before MN sales tax. Of course hazmat fees would knock the lead afforded to online sales down quickly. Picked up some W748, H322 and H335. Walked out of there $90 and some change lighter for 3 lbs of powder that set me back something like $50 the last time I bought them! :x
I used to visit the local reloading shop (Gunstop) once a week to buy powder, primers and bullets. Lately they don't have any of the popular powders in stock. Now I stop in maybe once a year. If they had it, I would come since they are close to me and the closest Cabela's is a 65-70 mile round trip. Go figure...

I feel your pain...right in the wallet! I'm going to check local sources here tomorrow, but not expecting much joy...I haven't seen Lil' Gun around these parts in a couple years or more.

Hoot, check with your local trap and skeet clubs. Some of them do group buys on supplies early spring, might be able to snag a jug of Lilgun as it seems popular with the 410 guys

Was at Williams gun sight today and they had a 4lb jug and 2 1lb cans. Their powder aisle was looking better with more selections. They even had a good selection of primers. Asking full retail alas no discount items yet. :D
