First reloads

Postby Yotehunter243 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 6:20 pm

I want to thank everyone for their help with all my questions. I finally got out today after gutting my kitchen and checking trail cameras
Now this is a brand new barrel so I've been cleaning it spotless between shooting sessions. I now have about 40 rounds down the tube.

This is my.first group with a spotless bore. I shot one fowler than let the barrel cool down completely. Then shot 5 rounds. The top hole that says no crimp was one I played around with and the bullet actually slid down into the case until the powder stopped it. I plan on loading up 10 more to try before I settle on the load

I also have a factory 20" rifle that I've been shooting factory ammo to make my brass. I just sighted in a new scope on it today. It shoots very well also

Nice shooting. Did you get a velocity reading?

Thanks,
B.

The top picture is a 17.5" (18" with threads cut off) Black Hole Weaponry built with a 1;18 twist. The second picture is a factory 20" Bushy.

Stopped by my range in the farm after deer hunting yesterday to shoot the same load to verify it. I put 5 shots in a half moon group just at 1" good enough for this deer season. I had 2 jugs of LIlGun show up in the mail to try this winter
