Alternative to .452 Barnes Buster 325gr

Since Barnes has apparently forgotten about their .452 Buster 325gr that WC designed for them, I went looking for an alternative...found a .452 300gr copper solid from Lehigh Defense that has almost the same shape as the Barnes Buster, also costs at least 20% less per bullet:

The 300-grainer should also be somewhat less sensitive to barrel twist rate for stabilization...

That's a pretty broad, sharp edged flat zone. Not sure if it will cycle smoothly in an AR platform, but the only way to find out is for someone to get some and try. Preferably someone who also has a bolt action in case they don't.

Admittedly, the big 300gr hollow points have big mouths as well, but their edges are radiused.

Look forward to hearing how they work out if someone gives them a try.

In Theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice, there is.
