Maximus???

Anyone tried these muzzleloader/450 bushmaster bullets? Not much more than barnes and should offer a little more speed than the 275TSX. Think I may order some

That looks like a very interesting bullet!

My concern would be the COL and if it would fit in a AR magazine. In a bolt or single shot that wouldn't be a problem though.

I've been looking at a few bullets from cutting edge, but haven't tried any yet. I'm curious as to what the minimum velocity is for this bullet and how much the base weighs after fracturing.

I've been shooting the 160 gr. for 2 years....every deer been DRT....

Only shot them in a AR-15 40.5 gr. Lil'Gun just over 2600 fps in a 20" barrel....at 200 yards 1 1/4" three shot groups with a 9X scope.....

They also make a 250 gr. Raptor Flat Base that will feed from a AR-15 magazine....

According to the 250gr Maximus length spec of .912, it is for all intent and purpose the same as the Hornady 250gr FTX. Fitting in an AR magazine should be fine. The BC is on par with the 250gr FTX also. If you need a copper only bullet, it looks like it'll do the job. If you want more speed in an all copper bullet, the Barnes 200gr XPB is a good choice. At the speeds we have achieved (2500fps), it has 1/3 again more TKO (Taylor Knock Out) than a factory .30-06 pushing a 180gr bullet.

What twist is your barrel? I've been wanting to shoot fast light bullets because I don't shoot outside 100-150 yards . But mine is an 18twist and afraid to spend the money and they not shoot

Some times, you've got to crack a few eggs to make an omelette. I have my share of partial "egg boxes" up on the shelf in the reloading area that didn't make a good omelette. ;)

Goes with the territory...

I've shot them in a 1-24" Bushmaster 20" 1-16" Apache 20" and Bison 18" all shot better than any cup-core 200-250 gr....

Shot a 190 lbs. buck at 185 yards behind shoulder....DRT....base was found between hide and rib on far side....very little blood shot meat....blew top of heart off lungs nothing but jello...

Minium expanding velocity is 1500 fps....I never tested it yet....

If you follow Cutting Edge Bullets on Facebook they have sales several time a year up to 30%....I think the next sale is fathers Day....
