I checked starlines website this morning and it showed 450 bushmaster brass in stock, so I placed an order for 250 pcs. Cost was $167 plus $3 shipping insurance.

I would be interested in hearing any comparisons you care to make with the Hornady brass, once you receive your shipment.

Yep, it would be great if everybody who loads up some StarLine brass posts a report on it. Hornady brass has a definite tendency to shorten up over the course of several loadings and firings, but is otherwise quite good as far as I can tell. If StarLine resists the shortening tendency better, then it will pretty much be the winner in this contest, because they seem to do everything right with their products.

Supposedly, my brass will be showing up later today. I have 100 or 150 brand new hornady brass that I will compare them to, dimensionally anyway. Hopefully, I will be able to post info today, if not, then maybe Sunday. Won't be able to post about actually firing them for quite a while.

Commander faschisto, you can't get away from the case shrinkage (I know you are aware of this, just pointing it out), however I hope Starline are tougher and can hold out longer. Hornady brass is nice brass, however I've noticed it's very soft and kind of inconsistent. By that I mean, loading hot hand loads on new brass has a pretty wide chg and case length change. However, loading up to the same specs with even once fired cases that are sorted, reduces average changes by a good margin.

In my experience with a 338 Lapua, Hornady brass is junk....I am using it for my 450, but have only loaded and shot 25 rounds. I have a box of Hornady 185 XTP .451 bullets that are as small as .443 that I bought to load for a 45 ACP pistol....kinda hard to properly crimp some of them....the . 452 250 XTP's I bought to load for the 450 are good....The Starline brass I have questions on....a buddy used some for his 44 mag. and several split at least half way down case and load was far from max., I have also seen there 223 brass split a lot at neck....hopefully the 450 is better....
