New Makers Bullets 250gr

Postby Bmt85 » Wed Jun 14, 2017 3:24 pm

So I placed an order with Makers Bullets for a couple things, one being their 250gr for the .458 socom. Plan was to size them down and see if they worked in the 450. Well something happened with the shipper, and on top of that, I forgot about them, so they never got shipped. Anyways a few weeks go by, and I get a call from them. Eventually, I told the guy I was speaking to (sorry forgot his name) what my plans were for the 250's, and he told me he could custom make it for me. I decided to have him make a .4515 diameter to see what happens. They showed up today, and look good. Diameters between .4514 and .4516 , weights between 249.3gr and 249.6gr, and looks like it should load out around 2.26". I was told that he ran off about 100 of them, and I believe they are for sale on the website.

200 XPB (Left), 250 Makers (Center), 275 TSX (Right).

If those are cut all the way through, I'd worry about them deploying in flight at the velocities we reach. Will be happy to be wrong.

I just looked in the cavity and I don't see the cuts. Just the nose is cut.
