starline hitting the market must be driving the cost of hornady down a bit!

competition is always a good thing 8-)

I've been hearing in the precious metals circle that brass is in for a fall. So keep and eye on that.

When I saw what Starline was pricing their brass for, I was happy just knowing it was going to drive down Hornady, even if Starline turned out to be not as good. I've been doing some load work up with the Starline, and so far I actually like it better than Hornady. Still have some testing to do, like seeing how hard I can safely push it, but I have a feeling they are going to hold up very well.

ya. starline generally has a reputation for good quality, but as you said - even if it turns out to be a lemon for them - the price will drive other products to be competitive.

based on an increased supply or a reduced demand?

from what i can see copper has been up due to demand in china... have you been seeing predictions of a slowdown?

likewise i'm seeing predictions for a increase in demand for zinc too.

I'm not sure where they get their information from but it's had something to do with a shift in demand. Due to N Korea.
I don't even understand how that even works. Seems to me personally that threats of a war would raise the prices of brass
However, maybe there's more to this picture than I'm seeing. I guess we need to look back at what the price of brass did during the last Korean War. Maybe that could shed some light. But to me, these people don't make sense to me. Brass should become more expensive the way I see it.

Who knows in the idiotic world of commodity markets, but...perhaps someone is expecting production of cartridge-grade brass to go way up due to the threats flying around, thereby increasing supply, maybe decreasing price???
