IMR 4227

Postby Lockwood » Wed Sep 27, 2017 6:41 pm

Hello,

I have been hunting with a 450 bushmaster since it became legal in Michigan. My question is I have about 4# of IMR 4227 and 40 xpb 275's and 150 hornady 240 xtp mags. Does anyone have data for the xpb with IMR4227 or would I be better off buying the 200 grain XPB. I have loaded the xtp mags with lil gun but I am currently out. Since I'm loading them into a Ruger American is OAL much of a concern? Most of my reloading experience is in 357 mag and 40 S&W. So I have not done much crimping. But I do have the hornady 4 die set. Any information would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard OM. Sorry for it taking so long to get you approved. I was out of town the past 8 days.
