I'll have to keep my eye out for Zero's. When I was starting to reload the 450B, I came across Armscor 230gr FMJ's at Grafs. 1000 were $121 shipped. 2000 are $217 shipped. I picked 1000 to try out, but haven't yet. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Grafs get any back in stock since.

What I want is 230 Grain FMJ flat points. Hornady discontinued theirs.

There are some MHI brand 230gr FMJFP available for $27 (100) / $45 (250) / $80 (500) Link Here.

I followed up on my interest in this bullet by sending an e-mail inquiry to Speer Customer Service. It took a few days, but I did eventually get a response. Here it is:

My Question.............
I am interested in using the Speer (item 4750) 45 Cal 230 Grain Encased Core Full Metal Jacket as a target/general purpose bullet in the 450 Bushmaster. Would this bullet hold up to the velocity of the 450B? Would there be a better low budget bullet option for that cartridge?

Rifle -
Firearm Make/Model: Bushmaster xm-15
Cartridge: 450B
Bullet Style: FMJ
Bullet Weight (Grains): 230
Primer: CCi sm. rifle
Powder: w296, universal, or powerpistol

And this is the answer I received.......

Charles,
This bullet would likely hold up to those kind of velocities but there will be no load data found for this as this is not a SAAMI Approved round at this point so nothing has been tested on this.

That's interesting, but honestly, for the price, I wouldn't try them. I just looked at Midway real quick and the Speer TMJ's are on sale for about 17 cents each when buying 300, Hornady 230 FMJ is 20 cents each when buying 500, and Winchester 230 FMJ is 19 cents when buying 500. That's not worth the experiment to save a couple cents per reload, in my opinion.

Oh and the Magtech 230 FMJ at Grafs for 14 cents each when buying 100.

Hmmmm.
Did they just slap me with a challenge glove?
Maybe I need to accept their challenge.
