Midway is selling this custom Die Seater Stem 45 Caliber 250 Grain FTX Bullet. What is different about this stem from the one that comes with the die set? Anyone have any ideas?

It is my recollection that the stem that comes with the Hornady die set is the 250 FTX one. I seem to recall that they also included an additional stem for their XTP type hollow points, though I never change stems. I just use the one for the 250 FTX for everything. Note: My recollection before the coffee takes affect, is not the gold standard.

My 450 and 460 S&W die seats have the same stems, (even same taper crimp die) stem fit the FTX just fine. Like Hoot, I use the FTX stem for everything. I've ran some compressed loads and haven't deformed a bullet yet.
