...when they're biting. It is often referred to as "The Dead Sea", when they're not. The lake is in trouble due to the drop in the numbers of some of the smaller fish species that the walleye feed on, due to the temperature of the lake slowly going up every year. Now, when the DNR stocks the lake with walleye fry, the adult walleyes eat them before they get big enough to escape being prey. The result is Slotting by Length, restrictions. I remember when the limit was just based upon how many you kept. Now its complicated to the point that many walleye anglers don't bother going. Getting out on the lake takes time and money each time. A lot of anglers are not satisfied coming home with a nice mess of perch, big crappies ad big sunnies, all of which are good eats, for what it costs them to pack up, go north and get out on that lake. I personally like perch a lot. Unfortunately, I seem to get into the schools of small ones most of the time. Lots of resorts going south due to declining numbers of fisherman on Mille Lacs. Sorry for the segue.

I’ve been boycotting the NFL for 3 years. Today when I get home from work, I will be working on my parking cover for my new John Deere Gator.
