Regardless of who's dies you use, lube your 450b cases before sizing.

In early December I purchased a set of Lyman dies for the 450 despite the reviews I read on Midway USA. On those reviews, most of the complaints were about the sizing die causing stuck cases.
Well I got my set and because of the reviews I made sure cases were lubed well. I also ran them through the Hornady sizing die first. On the first case I tried to size, I ended up with a stuck case. When I tried to lower the cam on the press, the case pulled out of the shell holder and remained stuck in the die..
I boxed them up and sent them back to Brownells for a refund of my money. I would not recommend these dies to anyone. Just read the reviews on Midway.

My Lyman die set has been fine, I haven't had any issues with stuck cases using a little RCBS lube.

I prefer and generally use Hornady one shot, mainly for ease of use and cleanup , but it seems to me that the rcbs lube works the best in regards to sizing and not sticking cases.

have to agree Imperial is about the best, doesn't take much, that small can will last for years.
One shot I have stuck 223 cases before in the Dillon, not a fun time.

Hoot- This is the only lube I have used for the last 3-4 years. Great product. This was what I used on the Lyman die set but case still got stuck, not the fault of the lube but the die.

I'm not a fan of one shot. Its the reason I started making my own case lube.
I've heard great thing about the Imperial wax, I just have never tried it.
