No, Vacation's over. Back to work today and for the foreseeable future. I really drew down my banked vacation and sick leave when I had my hip replaced. I just recovered a weeks worth in time to go see Dad. Starting over again. By the time hunting season rolls around, I'll have to throw that vacation I've accrued, not hunting but going to see Dad again. There is no better vacation than sitting with my Dad and watching game shows while he eats breakfast, lunch, supper and until he goes to bed at 10 PM when Family Feud reruns end on the GSN.

No, had to cancel that to have enough vacation to go see Dad and still have a few days squirreled away in case I get sick. Back on my bucket list, assuming Dad doesn't outlast me. ;)

Nice. They 250 FTX has basically shot great for just about every barrel, from what I have seen and experienced. The XTP Mags can be a little picky sometimes, from what I’ve read, haven’t tried them personally. Let us know how it goes.

Of the bullets I have loaded the least, the 250 FTX is it. There's more than enough data around here for them already. I have about 125 of them squirreled away though. Now for the 240gr XTP Mag, I burned through a box of 100 in 5-shot, 100yd recipes. To be honest, I've never felt that I "cracked the code" on a consistently good recipe from my 20" 1:24 AR. Once in a while, Id get three touching, only to settle for an overall 2" group. Even the occasional barely 1 MOA but then everyone gets an occasional truffle. I know how to milk every tenth of an MOA out of loads but the 240 has eluded consistent 1 MOA 5-shot groups at 100 yds, off of a BR setup with a 24x scope and concrete "Rock of Gibraltar" shooting benches. That having been said. If you happen upon a recipe that produces as good groups from the 240 XTP Mag as the 250 FTX, don't ever change it and please share it. ;)

FWIW, I have had about the same luck with the 300gr XTP Mag. I'm into pressure signs just about the time they start tightening up. Not so with the 325gr (resized .458 FTX). A royal PITA to resize but they shot pretty well with AA1680. Got them on sale, so figured what the heck. Borrowed the step sizing dies. If I were into Bison hunting, they'd get the call. Off subject once again.

I was hoping to find a load for the 240 xtp mag. Then use it for general shooting and perhaps deer. I have the last round sent up for the 250 ftx and could also use that for deer.

I m having a slight feeding issue with 275 tsx. Have not really looked at what is causing it. I would like to try the Barnes 200 xpb and use that for deer. Just have not tried them...... yet.
