Nonsense! Threads are made for hijacking. Look around. ;) We do enjoy more Range Reports however.

Yep. Love those range reports. Make your own if possible though. It makes things easier to research.

With my ongoing galloping senility, it has taken me a bit longer to get my mental ducks arranged properly regarding your question.

An easy check of temperatures at your problematic case mouths is likely possible with a temperature indicating lacquer, such as Tempilaq:Tempilaq web site.

Placing two or three dabs that have different temperature levels around the periphery of the case mouth might provide clues about what's happening. I'd try it myself, but my three 450B rifles are all bolt actions, and case heat is readily transferred to the chamber area of the barrel.
