I tried Hornady's XTP bullets last week. Didn't go well. They don't like to load or eject properly.

Going back to the FTX.

XTP or XTP mag?

two totally different bullets. the regular XTP is totally not a good choice for rifle calibers. thats a low velocity pistol bullet.

and while my accruacy results with the XTP's werent amazing, they all fed and functioned just fine so far for me.

what powder and COAL were you using?

Just listed as:

"Hornady XTP Bullets Jacked Hollow Point" 250 gr

Not sure about the Magnum part.

They did shoot accurately. Just didn't like to feed and extract.

I have an Anderson Upper, where I didn't have the ejection port enlarged. The first time out, using FTX bullets the last round in the magazine would stick coming out. Only the last one. After taking it out again, this issue eventually went away. Just needed to loosen up, I guess.

The XTPs just didn't behave well, even though they were accurate.
